Large Scale Commercial Exterior Cleaning
As a recognised commercial exterior cleaning company operating throughout Rugby and the Midlands, Jet Wash Innovations recently completed a demanding warehouse car park and yard cleaning project covering approximately 2,000m².
The logistics company occupying the site was relocating and needed to return the premises to the landlord in a clean and presentable condition. The challenge was significant, as neither the block paved car park nor the concrete yard had been professionally cleaned for over 10 years.
To make matters more demanding, the entire project had to be completed within just three days, while the warehouse remained fully operational throughout the works.
The Challenge
Our scope of work included:
- Professional cleaning of the block paved car park
- Re-sanding all block paved areas
- Chemical treatment and pressure washing of the concrete yard
- Full debris collection and waste disposal
- Completion of all works within a strict 3-day deadline
Working on a live logistics site meant constant movement of HGVs, forklifts, employees and contractors. Careful planning and communication with the site’s operations and management teams were essential to ensure the project was completed safely without disrupting daily operations.
Health & Safety Comes First
At Jet Wash Innovations, every member of our team is IOSH certified, giving us a strong understanding of health and safety legislation and best practices when working on commercial premises.
Before any cleaning commenced, we:
- Isolated working zones using cones and barriers.
- Directed staff to designated safe parking areas.
- Carried out risk assessments and implemented control measures.
- Worked closely with site management to minimise disruption.
- Maintained safe pedestrian and vehicle routes throughout the project.
This structured approach allowed the warehouse to continue operating safely while our team carried out the cleaning works.
Professional Equipment for Professional Results
Large commercial projects require the right equipment.
Equipment Used
For this project we utilised:
- Honda GX390 professional pressure washing systems
- High-capacity water tanks
- X-Jet chemical application systems
- Turbo nozzles for heavy contamination removal
- Commercial waste collection bags
- A dedicated skip for responsible waste disposal
By arranging waste removal ourselves, the client received a fully completed project without needing to organise any additional clean-up once the works were finished.
The Cleaning Process
We began by thoroughly soaking the surfaces before applying professional cleaning chemicals using our X-Jet application system. This treatment loosened years of accumulated moss, algae, mould, dirt and organic growth.
Once the chemicals had done their work, our high-performance pressure washing equipment and turbo nozzles removed the contamination efficiently, revealing the original surface beneath.
The transformation was visible almost immediately. Years of built-up grime disappeared, leaving both the block paving and concrete yard dramatically cleaner and ready for final finishing.
Three Days of Intensive Work
Our team worked 12-hour shifts over three consecutive days to meet the client’s deadline.
Days 1–2
- Chemical treatment
- Deep pressure washing
- Concrete yard cleaning
- Debris collection
- Surface rinsing
- Waste removal
Day 3
- Re-sanding all block paved areas
- Final inspections
- Site clean-up
- Project handover
Despite the tight schedule and operational constraints, every stage of the project was completed on time.
The Result
The client was extremely pleased with the finished result.
The warehouse was handed back in a clean, professional condition, ready for inspection by the landlord. Most importantly, the project was completed safely, on schedule, and without disrupting the site’s day-to-day operations.
This project is another example of Jet Wash Innovations’ commitment to delivering reliable, professional commercial exterior cleaning services, regardless of the size or complexity of the job.
Whether it’s a warehouse, logistics centre, industrial estate, commercial yard or large car park, our experienced team has the equipment, knowledge and health & safety expertise to deliver outstanding results every time.
Frequently Asked Questions
The frequency depends on the level of traffic and the type of business. Most commercial properties benefit from professional cleaning at least once or twice a year to remove dirt, oil stains, moss, algae, and other contaminants that can affect safety and appearance.
Yes. With proper planning, risk assessments, and designated work zones, warehouse car park and yard cleaning can be completed while the site remains operational. Careful coordination helps minimise disruption to employees, vehicles, and daily business activities.
Pressure washing removes the existing jointing sand between the paving blocks. Re-sanding helps restore stability, reduces movement between the blocks, and supports effective drainage, helping to maintain the surface over time.
Commercial pressure washing is suitable for a wide range of exterior surfaces, including block paving, concrete yards, loading bays, warehouse car parks, industrial estates, pathways, and other hard surfaces affected by dirt, algae, moss, and general grime.
Professional warehouse exterior cleaning improves the appearance of the property, helps create a safer environment by removing slippery contaminants, supports property maintenance, and leaves the premises clean and presentable for inspections, customers, or landlords.
